Welcome to the Priestland Educational Centre! We are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for our students at all levels, including Pre School, Primary, and Junior High School (JHS). Our academic calendar is designed to ensure that our students receive a well-rounded education while also allowing for adequate breaks and family time throughout the year.<\/p>

ACADEMIC YEAR OVERVIEW<\/strong><\/p>

The academic year at Priestland Educational Centre typically runs from September to July. This structure allows us to align with national educational standards while providing ample time for both instruction and assessment. The school year is divided into three terms, each with specific start and end dates, as well as designated holidays.<\/p>

TERM DATES<\/strong><\/p>

First Term<\/strong><\/p>

Start Date: Early September<\/p>

End Date: Mid-December<\/p>

Key Activities: Orientation for new students, parent-teacher meetings, mid-term assessments.<\/p>

Second Term<\/strong><\/p>

Start Date: Early January<\/p>

End Date: Late March<\/p>

Key Activities: Continuous assessment periods, project presentations, sports day.<\/p>

Third Term<\/strong><\/p>

Start Date: Early April<\/p>

End Date: Late July<\/p>

Key Activities: Final examinations, end-of-year celebrations, graduation ceremonies for JHS students.<\/p>

    HOLIDAYS AND BREAKS<\/strong><\/p>

    To support the well-being of our students and staff, we incorporate several breaks throughout the academic year:<\/p>

    Mid-Term Breaks:<\/strong>\u00a0One week off in October during the first term and another in February during the second term.<\/p>

    Christmas Holidays:<\/strong>\u00a0A two-week break at the end of December.<\/p>

    Easter Holidays:<\/strong>\u00a0A one-week break around Easter.<\/p>

    Summer Vacation:<\/strong>\u00a0A four-week break following the conclusion of the third term in late July.<\/p>

    IMPORTANT DATES<\/strong><\/p>

    Throughout the academic year, there are several important dates that parents and guardians should note:<\/p>

    Parent-Teacher Conferences:<\/strong>\u00a0Scheduled twice a year after each term\u2019s report cards are issued.<\/p>

    Examination Periods:<\/strong>\u00a0Specific weeks designated for assessments will be communicated in advance.<\/p>

    School Events:<\/strong>\u00a0Various events such as cultural days, science fairs, and sports competitions will be highlighted on our website calendar.<\/p>
